About Me

Andre True is a storyteller who thrives at the intersection of technical precision and artistic insight, bringing a unique, interdisciplinary perspective to filmmaking.  A graduate of Liberty University (2026), Andre has spent his academic career mastering the language of cinema through a rigorous dual major, a B.S. in Film Production & Content Development and B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Computational Sciences, Communication Studies, and Fine Arts.  Passionate about narrative storytelling and media innovation, Andre combines technical production expertise with a strategic, multifaceted approach to content creation.

In 2024, Andre demonstrated his wide-ranging abilities by taking on multiple roles, with a strong focus on producing and directing a short documentary, handling all production aspects independently.  While building his professional portfolio, he has gained extensive hands-on experience working on numerous student short films, with a focus on roles as 1st AC and Steadicam Operator.  Andre’s approach to filmmaking is defined by versatility. While he is skilled in the camera department and editorial, Davinci Resolve, his experience spans the entire production pipeline.  Notably, he contributed to a college feature film last year, further developing his technical skills.

 

Andre completed his senior thesis film, Beyond the Oval, in May 2026, serving as director, producer, and editor, while also handling other positions.  This enterprising project displays his ability to lead complex productions from conception to final edit.  Liberty University's Cinematic Arts department will present his film at the annual Student Showcase, exhibiting his dedication to cinematic storytelling.

Combining technical ability with creative vision, Andre is committed to leveraging his broad skill set in the film and media industry.  He is actively seeking opportunities in production, camera operation, and content development, motivated by a strong passion for creating impactful narratives.
